Headed out to LaVergne (Tn) to watch WKU wide receiver commitment Quin Jernighan in action and trust me, he did not disappoint on his senior night. Early in the first quarter, he threw down a brilliant double-move on his defender cutting toward the sideline on what appeared to be an out-route before changing direction and heading down the sideline on a go route giving himself a 5-yard cushion from his defender and hauling a (roughly) 50-yard TD reception.

Jernighan struck again in the second quarter when he took a kickoff return 97-yards for a score, breaking off down the sidelines before cutting towards the middle of the field to avoid defenders and finding more green grass before he hit paydirt.

In the third quarter, the WKU commit made a brilliant high-point catch down the sideline with a defender draped all over him and another defender closing in, used his height, agility, and athleticism to make the play.

So, needless to say, the Hilltoppers are getting a tremendous receiver that is still really developing at his position. Jernighan still has some polishing to do regarding his game, in particularly becoming a more consistent blocker in the running game - that's a quality he'll definitely learn at the next level.

We'll have more on Thursday night's action later today...gotta head to my other job now.
