Western Kentucky head coach Ray Harper recently checked out an intriguing 2015 guard in Ty Cockfield out of Johnson High School in Gainesville, Georgia. Cockfield doesn't know much about the program but said Harper likes his athleticism and his ability to score in multiple ways. He also told me Harper intends to come back down and evaluate him further in a few weeks.
He currently is the leading scorer in the state of Georgia, averaging 30 points and seven assists per game and has helped guide his team to a 23-0 record so far. Cockfield currently has offers from Cleveland State, Florida A&M, and Stetson.
