It was a tough night overall for the Colonels, who were overpowered by Bowling Green throughout the night and suffered a 42-22 loss to the Purples. Western Kentucky commitments Keyron Catlett and Kenneth Major didn't have big nights, but did make plays.

Most notably, Catlett made a fantastic 32-yard touchdown grab in the endzone while being double-covered. Off the line of scrimmage, he made a brilliant double-move that gave him the space and position he needed to make the catch. It was also a great throw by 2018 QB prospect Kolbe Langhi, who dropped it right between the two defenders.

I was impressed with defensive back commit Kenneth Major as well. The Purples offense really avoided throwing the ball to his side of the field most of the night, but Major had a couple of pass break-ups and laid a couple of big hits in the secondary as well.

On the Bowling Green side of things, they always seem to have some good ballers and they were obviously a bigger team overall compared to Christian County.

Senior running back Jamale Carothers is one tough running back. Very shifty and has break away speed as well.

Junior wide receiver Ziyon Kenner also had a big game and really took it to his former team. Has a nice set of hands and can kick his speed into another gear on routes and when the ball is in his hands. It seemed like he was all over the field in the first half.

Also really liked what I saw in junior linebacker Justice Dingle, a big-bodied defender who is still adjusting to a new school that will be a big playmaker on defense as the season progresses.

I'll have a few video clips on Catlett and Major in the next day or so.
