Teams that get it are always in danger of a loss. Now Western has played from being in a very good position into a must win road game. Crap.

I really thought WKU had a good chance if it won out for an at-large, depending on how the rest of the field shook out, but back to back losses to two teams with sub-200 RPIs put that away for good. Gonna have to win the tourney to get in. Even the NIT looking bleak after the past two games.

Any thoughts on the issues?

Key players not in sinc.

If Price, Docks and Fant could each have a good game on the same night then Western would be a very tough out.

With those bad back-to-back losses and dropping to 107th in the latest RPI, the at-large bid is definitely way out of reach. The Tops need to finish strong in order to remain a top 4 seed going into the conference tournament and help position themselves for a post-season run.

The four remaining road games will be very tough, UAB has improved greatly as a team throughout the season, Middle Tennessee will be very tough, then Charlotte and Old Dominion on the road doesn't get any easier.

The two remaining home games against FAU and FIU are the most winnable in my opinion.

WKU's mission going forward should be:

- Hope you begin playing your best basketball starting tonight.
- Secure a top four seed in the C-USA tournament.
- Make another patented post-season run and earn an automatic bid.

Because it's like Jason said, even an NIT birth is bleak after the last two games.

They unfortunately peaked at the wrong time of the season. Season is over. As much success as they've had in the conference tournaments, I don't see it happening this time.
