I am sorry to ask this question but how depleted was our roster when Sanford took over. It is so very hard for me to believe we have sunk so low in such a short period of time. Something has to be done before we get so low that it will take a decade before we can get winning back. Does anyone even care?
The only takeaway is that Mike Sanford sucks as a coach and is in over his head even at a mid-major program like Western.
Western is what they are. They're never going to be a national brand or powerhouse program and any time a coach comes to WKU and has a couple years of sustained success, he's out the door to a bigger program.

When Sanford took over, he didn't have a bulk of WKU's offensive production from the previous season(s). Taywan Taylor, Nicholas Norris, and Ace Wales - they had all moved on. Plus, two anchors of the offensive line were gone in Forrest Lamp and Darrell Williams.
What would/do you think of Tyson Helton as HC? Given another year Willie might be available.
I think Helton would be a great hire given his track record and what he did at WKU with Brohm.
