Minnesota transfer defensive back Beanie Bishop, who played for the Hilltoppers from the 2018-2021 seasons before transferring to the Golden Gophers, collected an offer from Western Kentucky this week.
Bishop, a product of Pleasure Ridge Park High School in Louisville, KY. announced the opportunity from Western Kentucky over social media on Tuesday, Feb. 28.
Bishop collects an opportunity from his old team after entering his name into the transfer portal as a graduate transfer on Thursday, Feb. 23.
As a Hilltopper, Bishop recorded 74 total tackles, including 59 solo stops and 15 assisted takedowns. Bishop also recorded nine defended passes, one forced fumble and three interceptions for 72 yards and one touchdown.
With Minnesota this past season, Bishop recorded 29 total tackles, including 20 solo takedowns and nine assisted stops. He also added one defended pass and one sack in a Golden Gophers uniform.
