Here are some news and notes to pass along from Friday's morning practice:
- a light practice today with the scrimmage on tap for Saturday. The session only lasted a little over an hour.
- the offense worked on a lot of various trick plays to start out, most of those involving Nacarius Fant in various fashions and maybe a hidden "Lamp" thrown in.
- no sign of offensive lineman Joe Manley in the wake of Thursday's apparent knee injury. We'll likely get an update on that from Jeff Brohm on Saturday after the scrimmage.
- WR Devin Nixon and Wake Forest grad transfer TE Stevie Donatell were limited in today's practice and spent most of their time running on the sidelines with trainers.
- Not a lot to report in terms of quarterback play with the focus being on individual drills and getting work in with the wide receivers on their routes. Saturday's scrimmage will definitely be a big day for all quarterbacks involved.
