The Maxwell Football Club announced the list for the 86th annual Maxwell Award on Monday, which included the name of Western Kentucky's latest gunslinger, Jarret Doege.
Doege is the top leader in passing yards and passing touchdowns in college football as he enters the 2022 season with Western Kentucky. He's collected 10,494 passing yards and 79 passing touchdowns over the course of his collegiate career. During last season's stint with West Virginia, Doege threw for 3,048 yards and 19 touchdowns while completing 65% of all passes. He is now playing for a ground-breaking offense that broke ground last season with former quarterback Bailey Zappe.
