WKU recently offered Webb and seem to be in a very good spot with the former Florida State rusher. In 2020, Webb appeared in seven games, starting three of those, rushing for 369 total yards and three touchdowns while catching nine passes for 68 yards.
He had a career-high 109 yards on 12 carries is FSU's 31-28 win over North Carolina last year.
Before his time at Florida State, Webb spent his freshman season at Jones College (Miss.), where he was rated the No. 3 running back. He has returned to Jones College for this upcoming season.
WKU running backs coach Carlos Locklyn has a really good relationship with Webb and the Hilltoppers are in a good spot to land him.
On his relationship with Coach Locklyn:
"I've been knowing him for a long time and he's a good dude. With Coach Lock being there, it makes everything better."
On what Coach Locklyn likes about him as a player:
"He told me I'm a good dude and that means a lot coming from him. It just felt good because he's a person I can count on and it gives me a better option in the future to decide on. He likes everything I do on the field - they way I run, catch the ball out of the backfield, and blocking. He said he likes all of that from high school to now."
On what he's looking for in a school when he takes future visits:
"A place where I fit in best and a place that needs me. A good relationship with the coaches of course, that's the biggest thing."
Webb said he plans to take an official visit to Western Kentucky at some point and doesn't have a time frame on when he plans to make a decision.
He also noted that he's somewhat familiar with the Hilltoppers' program as he is friends with former WKU tight end Kyle Fourtenbary, both are from Opelika, Alabama.
