Linton-Stockton (Ind.) 2023 guard Joey Hart collected an offer from Western Kentucky this past week.
The 6-foot-5, 180-pound shooting guard announced the offer from the Hilltoppers over social media on Thursday evening, thanking the coaching staff for the opportunity.
Hart, who also plays for Grand Park Premier on the AAU circuit, revealed to InsideHilltopperSports.com that Western Kentucky got involved in his recruitment two summers ago, but waited until this past week to extend an offer.
"It feels really good," Hart said. "They took their time and followed me for two summers."
The 2023 prospect said he likes the Hilltoppers' coaching staff and revealed he's been in contact with WKU head coach Rick Stansbury and associate head coach Phil Cunningham.
"I like the coaching staff and I've talked to both Coach Cross and Coach Stansbury," Hart said.
The shooting guard out of Linton, IN. is an unranked 2023 recruit on Rivals.com and has landed himself more than a dozen offers and has even garnered the interest of Big Ten powers Indiana and Purdue.
Western Kentucky isn't the first program to express interest in Hart as he's also picked up offers from Ball State, Bowling Green, Central Florida, Drake, Evansville, Florida Atlantic, George Washington, Illinois State, Indiana State, Loyola Chicago, Miami (OH), Missouri State, New Orleans, Northwestern, Purdue Fort Wayne, Southern Illinois, Toledo, Wichita State and Wright State.
Hart has already taken several significant visits throughout his recruitment as he's visited Central Florida, Indiana and Purdue.
