Opening statement:
“What a great tournament this is. What a great event. … What a great experience it was for us. We all had an excuse we could’ve made for being fatigued, but we never let it creep in. As I told our team at halftime, I was trying to pull more out of them. We didn’t want to accept fatigue as an issue for us. Once we got down 10, you really find out what you’re made of when you’re on the road and down 10. Everyone can do it when it’s easy, but when it gets tough, who are you? Today we found out who we are a little bit.”

On Jake Ohmer’s game-winning shot: “Every one of those guys who played stepped up and was huge. At the right time again, (Jake Ohmer) stepped up and nailed a big one for us. He did what he does – shoot that basketball. He can do that about as good as anybody.”

On what lies ahead for WKU: “We’ll take a lot of confidence. Where we go now? We’re not going to sneak up on anybody. There will be a bull’s-eye on us. No one will take Western Kentucky for granted. I think everyone across the country has seen what we did here now.”

Freshman guard Jake Ohmer On his game-winning shot: “I just try to make big plays on offense, so that’s what I did. I knew when they gave it to Justin (Johnson), they were going to come down and pinch, so I knew I had to slide up and let him see me.”

Senior forward Dwight Coleby On what this week has been like: “I’m lost for words on how we played every night and came up with two big victories. I think we got even closer as a group, facing tough times, and it was just great.” On getting to play in his hometown: “It was great having everybody’s support, and having everybody come to me asking me if I was Bahamian.
