Press Box

If Western doesn't add another level to its press box, I propose the university should construct a large canopy over the press box similar to what Kent State did to its stadium. The press box on the old side of the stadium is overshadowed by the club level on the new side of the stadium. Constructing a large canopy over the press box would add additional camera area and give the press box a more modern look. Thoughts?

When it comes to the press box on the old side of the stadium, nobody likes it and many despise it. The feeling I get from many is that the press box will get a complete makeover in the near future - I'd say within 5 years or so and that's me guessing. Changes will be coming and all of media will be happier.

However, I hang out on the field during games so I don't get that intimate feel of the old school press box. I'm sure it has character though!!!

Character is one thing the press box has. However, it is cramped quarters in there for Big games when there are multiple media outlets in attendance. I have discussed this with Sean in the past. I think maybe he gets the better end being on the field during the game. With all of it's inadequacies, at least I have a good view of the game up there.

I'm like a cow, I enjoy the open field but despise it when it's freezing. However, it's not like there is any heat up in the press box anyway, so I guess we're kind of even-keel from that perspective.
