AP College Football Writer Ralph Russo released his early 2015 bowl projections.

Russo has WKU facing off against Houston in the Cure Bowl. The Autonation Cure Bowl will take place in late December in Orlando. The Cure Bowl will be played in the newly renovated Orlando Citrus Bowl Stadium. The Cure Bowl was named as such, to honor and bring awareness to the fight against cancer, mainly breast cancer.

The projection is interesting to me because the Bowl website shows that it is supposed to be a game between an American Conference team vs a Sunbelt Conference team. These early predictions don't mean a thing and will probably change another 10-15 times.

Yeah, summer bowl predictions are meant to create talk. Would be an interesting matchup if it were to happen, but odds are it won't. I assume Russo isn't expecting the Sun Belt to have enough bowl eligible teams once the upcoming season is finished.

I do like the concept of the Cure Bowl to bring awareness to breast cancer...great idea! Plus, it's played in the Citrus Bowl which is a plus.

If we stay healthy this year I predict WKU to win 9 or 10 games and win or share the conference title and win it's bowl game to finish 10 or 11 wins.

I also am expecting WKU to have a strong 2015 season. I think we will get 8 wins minimum, but probably somewhere around 9 or 10. We are 85 days away from kickoff.
