According to CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein, Owensboro native Eli Wright has committed to Rick Stansbury and Western Kentucky men's basketball.
Wright, a former four-star guard out of the Class of 2016, prepped at Apollo High School. He played two seasons at Mississippi State before going to St. John's.
Wright averaged 3.5 points and 1.6 rebounds per game during the 2016-17 season and 3.0 points and 2.2 rebounds per game during the 2017-18 season at Mississippi State.
Wright didn't play last season at St. John's as he had to sit out after transferring from Mississippi State. He has two more years of eligibility remaining.
