Yes, I have lured you in with a deceiving thread title because the Midshipmen have passed for a grand total of 398 yards through four games. Far from ground breaking and record setting.

However, 231 of those yards came in their 31-24 loss to Rutgers on Saturday as the Midshipmen found themselves trailing most of the game and opening up the playbook a bit in order to catch up to the Scarlet Knights.

Quarterback Keenan Reynolds was fairly efficient, going 12-of-22 with one touchdown and no interceptions. So, case in point, Navy's triple-option based running attack is poised to pound defenses to the depths of exhaustion and confusion where they can burn defenses with a deep pass when it's at it's peak frustration. However, it looks like if they are forced too, they can sling the ball around a little bit too.

Food for thought as the Hilltoppers head to Annapolis on Saturday afternoon.
