It looks like Western Kentucky is in the market for a tight end in the class of 2016, having dished out offers to a few tight ends in Brendan Scales of Lafayette (Mo.), Noah Turner of Carmel Catholic (Ill.), and Chris Ellington out of Fletcher (Fla.).

Scales measures in at 6-foot-4, 220-pounds and also currently boasts offers from NC State, Indiana, Iowa, and Illinois. He grabbed 49 receptions for 670 yards and 11 touchdowns this past season, which was his first year at the position.

Turner is a 6-foot-3, 237-pound prospect that is the 17th ranked tight end in the '16 class. He currently has offers nine offers from the likes of Illinois, Indiana, and others. He finished up last season with 13 receptions for 400 yards in an offense that is primarily run-heavy.

Ellington is a prospect that is picking up some steam in the recruiting process. He currently has other offers from Cincinnati and Mississippi State according to Rivals, but I'm sure a few more will be added to his list shortly.

I talked with Ellington about his offer from WKU and he said he's been talking to TE coach Ryan Wallace and I asked him if he knew much about WKU, and here's his response:

"They broke a lot offensive records last year, a crazy amount. They do get the ball to the tight end. They've got a few who will be entering the league after this upcoming season."

Ellington also said that he does intend to attend a camp at Western Kentucky this summer.
