Hilltoppers prepare for a big C-USA showdown with UAB this week, WKU head coach Tyson Helton previews Saturday's matchup below:
- Says Steven Duncan's surgery will be season-ending and will be eligible for a redshirt.
- Still working through the QB situation. Doesn't think it will be a one-man show. Likes what Thomas and Shanley brings and thinks multiple guys will be out there.
- Says options with all three QB's are similar in terms of they can all pass and run.
- They got a lot done during the bye week. Especially in evaluating the QB's. Tweaked some things defensively. Got a jump start on UAB. Mentioned getting on the road recruiting was big as well.
- Looking forward to having another home game. Big conference opponent in UAB. Says they want to be 2-0 in conference. Players are excited and have been flying around in practice.
- Says UAB's front four controls the line of scrimmage well. They can get pressure on the quarterback without having to blitz. Controlling the line of scrimmage will be key.
