Western Kentucky has added Louisville grad transfer Keith Brown and will immediately fill a big need at the middle linebacker position for the Hilltoppers. The former Cardinal took an official visit to WKU this past weekend where he built a strong relationship with the coaching staff, in particular head coach Jeff Brohm and defensive coordinator Nick Holt.
The 6-foot-1, 237-pounder recorded 33 tackles and two tackles for loss in 13 games last season as a starter for the Cardinals in 2015. He played a reserve role in 2014 appearing in every game and missed a majority of the 2013 season due to knee injury. Brown made an immediate impact as a freshman for the Cardinals, appearing in all games and starting five of those.
Brown was a four-star rated prospect coming out of Miami (Fla.) Norland high school according to Rivals.com.
