WKU and its apparel partner Russell Athletic have decided to mutually part ways. WKU and Russell have had a partnership since 2007 and had just recently signed a 5 year extension that began June 1st of 2016 for $3.5 million.
WKU is expected to announce a new partnership within the coming days. Any new deal will likely be for 5 years with a unknown dollar amount.
Russell Athletic is also losing Ohio University and Ga Tech as schools who have been wearing the brands apparel. CUSA team Southern Miss' deal with Russell is set to expire next year as well.
