Just when things couldn't appear to get any worse after Wednesday's 9th inning blown lead, it did on Thursday as the Tops end their season with an 8-6 loss to ULM in the SBC tournament.
The Warhawks jumped out to a 4-0 lead before the Tops fought back to knot it at 4 in the third inning, but the Sun Belt foes from the land of Duck Dynasty tallied four more runs over the course of the next two innings to take a cozy 8-4 lead.
The deficit was cut to two, but WKU ran out of steam and eventually suffered their second loss in as many days and were officially eliminated from tournament play.
