The Hilltoppers improved to 5-4 on the year after disposing Arkansas in Fayetteville by a final of 78-77. WKU was lead by the trio of Charles Bassey (21 points, nine rebounds, five blocks), Jared Savage (20 points), and Taveion Hollingsworth (17 points, six rebounds, six assists).

After trailing 41-33 at the half, WKU rallied in the second half by shooting 55% (16-29) from the field and 60% (6-10) from beyond the arc to down the Razorbacks.

Marek Nelson (six points, three rebounds, three assists) made the game-winning layup with 19 seconds remaining to put the Hilltoppers up for good.

Arkansas, now 6-2, were lead by Daniel Gafford, who finished with 17 points and nine rebounds and Mason Jones, who scored 15 points.

The Hilltoppers have been Jekyl and Hyde so far this season, with wins over West Virginia and Arkansas, who rank 31st and 50th in the KenPom ratings. They've also balanced out those big wins with bad losses to Indiana State (140) and Missouri State (209).

Streaks snapped:

- Arkansas had won 46 consecutive games when leading at halftime.
- They had won 64 straight when leading at halftime at home.
- The Razorbacks had not lost to a non-conference opponent at home since November 18th, 2015 against Akron.
