WKU baseball was hoping to play a nine-inning game against The Bowling Green Hot Rods Tuesday night, but unfortunately that didn't happen. After a brief weather delay, the game was cancelled in the bottom of the fourth.

WKU has been successful in the past playing at Bowling Green Ballpark. A few weeks ago, WKU defeated UK 12-3 in the park.

The exhibition game allowed each team to use a 10-man lineup with 2 designated hitters.

The Hot Rod's Jace Conrad brought home the first and only run of the game in the bottom of the third with a groundout that drove
in a base runner.

The game was shaping up to be a close contest between these teams.

Sophomore Sam Higgs had a short, but quality outing for the Tops, only allowing a run on one hit in three innings of work. Brandon Allen came on in relief of Higgs in the fourth inning, but his appearance was short due to the weather.
Anderson Miller had a solid two hit performance, going 2-2 at the plate, while collecting a single and a double.

WKU will host C-USA foe Southern Miss this weekend for a three game series that begins on Friday.

Southern Miss is coming off of an impressive 6-5 win over Ole Miss.
