Texas A&M Corpus Christi guard Trey Tennyson, one of Western Kentucky head coach Steve Lutz's top three best performers this past year at Texas A&M Corpus Christi, has entered his name into the transfer portal.



The 6-foot-4, 180-pound senior guard averaged 13.9 points per game, 2.0 rebounds per game, 1.3 assists per game, 0.1 blocks per game and 0.7 steals per game. Tennyson shot 41.8% from the field, 38.7% from beyond the arc and 86.2% from the free throw line.

Southern California Academy (CA.) 2023 point guard Garwey Dual, a four-star recruiting target previously committed to Providence, has reportedly decommitted from the Friars.

Since reopening his recruitment, Dual has been contacted by several significant programs, including Western Kentucky.


In addition to being contacted by the Hilltoppers, the 6-foot-5, 180-pound recruit and No. 35 player nationally in the class of 2023 has also garnered the interest of Texas A&M, Texas, LSU, Arizona, St. Johns, Dayton, DePaul, Butler, NC State and Southern Indiana.

Northern Arizona transfer guard Jalen Cone, a former four-star guard and product of Walkertown (N.C.), who entered his name into the transfer portal earlier today, has already attracted the attention of multiple schools, including Western Kentucky.



The 5-foot-9, 175-pound guard and the No. 79 player in the class of 2019, began his college basketball career in the ACC, committing to Virginia Tech on May 9, 2019.


Cone competed with the Hokies for his freshman and sophomore seasons before transferring to Northern Arizona for his last two years of collegiate basketball.

In his career, Cone averaged 14.1 points per game, 2.1 rebounds per game, 2.1 assists per game and 0.5 steals per game. Cone has additionally shot 40.0% from the field, 38.7% from beyond the arc and 84.8% from the free throw line.

Western Kentucky guard Jordan Rawls entered his name into the transfer portal over a week ago as a graduate transfer.



The former four-star point guard out of Hamilton Heights (Tenn.) committed to Western Kentucky on April 20, 2019. Rawls has played with the Hilltoppers for three seasons while also competing for Georgia State in the 2021-22 campaign before transferring back to The Hill.


During his senior campaign this past season, Rawls averaged 7.5 points per game, 1.3 rebounds per game, 2.6 assists per game and 0.5 steals per game. Rawls additionally shot 36.8% from the field, 22.4% from beyond the arc and 75.7% from the free throw line.
 
Tarleton State transfer guard Freddy Hicks has been contacted by a multitude of programs, including Western Kentucky.



Hicks has played for the Texans for three seasons, averaging 16.2 points per game, 6.0 rebounds per game, 2.3 assists per game, 0.5 blocks per game and 1.3 steals per game as a sophomore this past season.

He additionally shot 43.7% from the field, 34.0% from beyond the arc and 75.4% from the free throw line.
