WKU extended offers to a couple of Alabama prospects today in 6-foot-3, 323-pound defensive tackle Zachary Branner out of Buckhorn.
Girth-wise, it was probably the Hilltoppers' biggest offer day.
I just got off the phone with Branner, who is a prospect I originally touched base with a couple of months ago, and he's excited about his offer from WKU, it's his first FBS level offer. His only other offer as of now is from Kentucky Christian, but that will likely change with the likes of Middle Tennessee and Southern Miss showing a lot of interest in him as well.
DC Nick Holt is his main recruiting contact, and he said Holt really liked his agility for his size and they are looking for big offensive lineman that can move really well. Branner definitely fits the mold and I, for one, am excited that WKU is off to a good start with him. He plans to visit on July 19th.
