Grayson (Ga.) 2024 wide receiver John Cineas, a three-star offensive talent out of the Peach State, picked up an offer from Western Kentucky this week, announcing the opportunity from the Hilltoppers over social media on Wednesday, March 1.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound recruiting target out of Loganville, GA. spoke with InsideHilltopperSports.com about how it felt to pick up an offer from Western Kentucky, detailing his overall interest in the Hilltoppers' football program.
Cineas said it feels great to collect an offer from Western Kentucky, revealing the Hilltoppers have been involved in his recruitment process for about a month now.
Cineas talked with one of the newest members of the Hilltoppers' coaching staff, conversing with former Green Bay Packers assistant special teams coach Micheal Spurlock, who recently informed the franchise he was joining Western Kentucky's coaching staff as the new wide receiver coach.
The three-star talent said he had a great conversation with Coach Spurlock, enjoying both his knowledge of the game and how he would be implemented on the Hilltoppers' offense.
Cineas said that he's very interested in learning more about the Hilltoppers and said he is planning to stop by Western Kentucky this spring for a visit.
In addition to the offer from Western Kentucky, Cineas has also picked up offers from Akron, Arkansas State, Auburn, Cincinnati, Eastern Kentucky, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Liberty, Marshall, Toledo and UAB. Cineas has also garnered the interest of Florida State, Georgia Tech, South Carolina and UCF.
