Western Kentucky received more good news on the transfer front late on Friday night when Louisville outside linebacker Malik Staples announced his intention to transfer to the Hilltoppers.
Staples signed with the Cardinals as a running back out of Peachtree Ridge (Ga.) played both running back and linebacker during his time at Louisville. Throughout his time at Louisville, Staples appeared in 20 games and registered nine tackles.
The 6-foot-1, 230-pounder is a graduate transfer and is expected to be eligible immediately.
