Lyon County (Ky.) 2024 PG Travis Perry, a talented four-star prospect, recently unveiled his top-5 list, naming Western Kentucky as one of the top options alongside Alabam, Cincinnati, Ole Miss and Kentucky.
The Hilltoppers jumped into the mix for Perry early on in his recruitment, extending an offer under former head coach Rick Stansbury. Perry added an offer from Western Kentucky to his resume in April of last year.
"I really like WKU. I like the facilities a lot and the history," Perry said. "I like it that Lyon Couny has good history there also."
Perry described his game as a guy who can do whatever is necessary to win games, including scoring, finding open teammates and exploiting mismatches.
"I would describe my game as a guy that can help do whatever is needed to win," Perry said. "I can score the ball, find open teammates and exploit mismatches, and bring a great competitive nature. It’s a really significant offer with them being only about an hour and a half from my house."
During his high school career, Perry has taken visits to Western Kentucky and has also competed at the Hilltoppers' team camp. Perry told InsideHilltopperSports.com that the Hilltoppers were heavily involved in his recruitment, connecting with him just about every day.
"I’ve been talking to the coaches about everyday, they are heavily involved," Perry said. "I will definitely take more visits there."
Perry will be announcing his commitment on Nov. 12th at 2:00 p.m. CT.
