Former Mississippi St guard Malik Newman was in Bowling Green this past weekend visiting WKU as first reported by Chad Bishop of WBKO.
Newman's father played for Stansbury at Mississippi St so there is a good relationship there. WKU is on the list to obtain the services of the former Rivals #8 ranked player.
Several Schools are vying to add Newman to their roster. Including Kansas, Georgia Tech, NC State, Arizona, Arizona St, Miami (FL), Oregon, Butler, Colorado St, Purdue, Iowa St, and TCU. Several SEC schools have also inquired about Newman. However I do not see Mississippi St allowing him to transfer to an in-conference foe. That is a pretty good list for WKU to be a part of.
