Western Kentucky picked up two verbal commitments on Sunday as Knoxville Catholic HS senior offensive center Hayden Todd and inside linebacker Eli Jones announced their commitment to the program over social media during the early evening hours.
Senior offensive center Hayden Todd committed to Western Kentucky, despite having the interest of two other schools as both Memphis and Middle Tennessee have communicated interest in the 6-foot-3, 277-pound senior out of Knoxville, TN. Todd never received an offer from Memphis, despite visiting campus on Sept. 18, 2021, but received an offer from Middle Tennessee.
Senior inside linebacker Eli Jones committed to Western Kentucky at the same time as his teammate Todd. According to Rivals.com, the 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker hasn't caught the attention of any schools.
Both seniors assisted Knoxville Catholic's football team in reaching a 5-5 record during the 2021 season.
Both Todd and Jones will be joining the Hilltoppers next season as walk-ons.
