Hutto (Tex.) 2024 CB/WR Alex Green details WKU offer

Hutto (Tex.) 2024 cornerback and wide receiver Alex Green, an intriguing recruiting target out of the Lonestar State, picked up an offer from Western Kentucky last week, announcing the opportunity from the Hilltoppers over social media on Saturday, Feb. 25.



The 6-foot-0, 180-pound recruit out of Hutto, TX. spoke with InsideHilltopperSports.com about how it felt to pick up an offer from Western Kentucky and detailed his overall interest in the Hilltoppers' program.

"It feels amazing to pick up my first offer from a dynamic school like Western Kentucky," Green said. "As a receiver, it's a blessing to be able to be a Hilltopper. I have been in contact with WKU for about two weeks."

Green said he connected with WKU offensive quality control coach Zak Mizell and enjoyed their conversation. He said he liked how Coach Mizell genuinely cared about his players.

"I've connected with Coach Mizell," Green said. "I love the way he cares more about the person than the player. He is also a very down to earth guy who genuinely cares about his players."

Green said he's interested in the Hilltoppers' football program and is planning to learn more later this upcoming spring as he plans to visit Western Kentucky on April 22nd.

"I'm very interested in Western Kentucky and will be visiting on April 22nd."
