Western Kentucky football received good news Thursday evening when linebacker Eli Brown announced on Twitter that he had been granted a medical redshirt season by the NCAA.
Brown, a 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker out of Warren East High School, missed the entire 2019 season with a foot injury he sustained during spring practice last year.
After playing two seasons at Kentucky, Brown transferred to WKU and recorded 25 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and two sacks in 11 games as a redshirt junior in 2018.
