2023 running back Oliver Lundberg Coleman, an intriguing European recruit, collected his first D1 offer from Western Kentucky on Tuesday, June 7 after an impressive camp showcase.

The 5-foot-10, 200-pound prospect spoke with InsideHilltopperSports.com about how it felt to be offered by Western Kentucky and revealed his interest in the Hilltoppers' program.

"It feels amazing to pick up an offer from a good football program like WKU because I've been working so hard just to get one shot," Coleman said. "That's all I need as a running back from Europe, one shot. I'm just motivated to work harder."

Coleman said the Hilltoppers began to get involved with his recruitment after he impressed the coaching staff at Kennesaw State's mega camp last month.

"I got in contact with them at Kennesaw State's camp in June. I talked to the running back coach Enrique Davis, then I got in contact with John Kuceyeski and Zach Kramme," Coleman said. "What I like about them is they are all really good people and coaches. We connected quick."

Coleman revealed that he is currently on an unofficial visit at Western Kentucky and that he has really been enjoying his time in Bowling Green so far and has been liking what the program has been telling him.

"I'm on a visit with WKU right now and I have talked to the head coach and the rest of the staff," Coleman said. "I've been having really good conversations about everything and I have noticed they really care about their players."

Coleman also said that he's been loving the campus and the field. He added that seeing what the program has to offer, he's very intrigued by this opportunity from the Hilltoppers.

"I have loved everything about the campus, the facilities and the field," Coleman said. "I'm very grateful to have the chance to be a part of such a great football program where they have built great players. That's what WKU is all about and I'm very intrigued by this offer."

Coleman said that he plans on returning to campus for an official visit at some point in the future.
