Westlake (Ga.) 2024 defensive end and defensive tackle John Betts, an intriguing recruiting target out of the Peach State, collected an offer from Western Kentucky this week, announcing the opportunity from the Hilltoppers over social media on Tuesday evening.
The 6-foot-3, 214-pound recruit out of Atlanta, GA. spoke with InsideHilltopperSports.com about how it felt to pick up an offer from Western Kentucky, detailing his overall interest in the Hilltoppers' program.
Because it's still early in his recruitment process, Betts said he hasn't connected with any of the Hilltoppers' coaches just yet, but has been able to converse and train with former WKU linebacker Aaron Key.
Betts said he's excited to learn more about the Hilltoppers' football program and is eager to visit Western Kentucky when that opportunity becomes available.
