Western Kentucky received its ninth commitment towards their 2018 recruiting class Saturday afternoon as Conway (SC) Offensive Lineman Gunner Britton announced he will be heading to the hill.
When asked why he chose Western Kentucky, Britton replied:
“Well to start my cousin goes to Western and my uncle is an alumni. My relatives live about 30 minutes away so I have family close. I liked the way the coaches talked about the program and I talked to some of the players and saw how much they loved it (WKU)”.
Which member of the Coaching staff did you talk to the most and what do they like the most about you?
“I talked to Coach Dartt and Spurrier Jr. the most, I sat down with Coach Dartt and had a really good one on one and we had a lot in common. I was able to make some personal connections with the coaches I met and it was awesome. They (Coach Dartt/Spurrier) watched my film and saw my physicality and my technique on some play”.
What stood out the most when you visited?
“The things that stood out the most was the people”
